Though I read it twice in the past, again I read the complete novel at a stretch in 3 hours and such is the power of historic novels and partcularly in this, the writing skill of Dr.Puttaparthivaru also.
The novel is intervened with the characters of Sambhaji(son of Shivaji), Madanna(vazir of the then Golkonda Nawab Abul Hasan)
Shah Alam(1st son of Aurangazeb) Aurangazeb himself, one dare an' beautiful woman saint (wife of Hari vitthalaraya) another dare devil Mumtaz.
The screenplay is very interesting and well netted with good dialogues, descriptions, language and subtle humor too.
The above novel and 2more novels 'Prateekaram' 'Abhayapradanam' (both historical related with Hindu Muslim Dynastries) are main attractions in the coming up 'Gadya sahitya sarvaswams' of Puttaparthivaru.
The two big historic stories in 'Vijaya thoranam' are related to Vijayanagara Empire and they are also quite interesting.
